Pick the category that describes what has happened or what you want to prepare for, not the document you think you need. A person who wants to plan while healthy asks for estate planning, and a family that has just lost someone asks about probate and estate administration. A family worried about paying for a nursing home asks about elder law and long-term-care Medicaid, and a dispute over a will or a trust belongs under disputes and litigation.
Choose the closest category and send only the requested contact details. The operator records your request for follow-up and a possible connection. A receiving firm must identify itself; a category selection does not confirm delivery to a lawyer.
What to include, and what to leave out
A first request needs the general category, the Vermont county, how urgent the matter is and how you prefer to be contacted. It does not need a will, a trust, a deed, a court paper, a medical record or a financial statement, and it should not include a Social Security number or an account number. If a lawyer needs a document, the lawyer asks for it later through a secure channel.
What to do if there is a deadline
A web form cannot protect a deadline. If there is a court date, a filing deadline, a limitation period or a hospital discharge that will not wait, call a Vermont lawyer directly and say so at the start of the call.
